Vordy stores only what it needs to work: keeping you signed in and remembering your choices on this device. All of it is strictly necessary, so it needs no consent. There are no analytics, advertising or third-party cookies. On secure connections, the name of each cookie below starts with __Secure-.

Cookies

• better-auth.session_token — Keeps you signed in. Set by our server and unreadable by scripts (HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax). Lasts 7 days and is renewed once a day while you use Vordy.
• better-auth.state — Protects Google sign-in against forged requests. Set when you choose Google. Deleted as soon as Google sends you back, after 5 minutes at most.
• better-auth.better-auth-passkey — Set when you sign in with a passkey or add one in Settings. Holds a signed token that points to a one-time challenge kept on our server. Deleted after 5 minutes.
• vordy_signed_in — Tells our website at vordy.app that you are signed in, so it can take you straight to the app. Holds no account data, only the value 1. Set when you sign in, deleted when you sign out. Lasts 7 days and is renewed while you use Vordy.

Browser storage (web app)

• vordy-language — The interface language, chosen by you or detected automatically. Kept on this device until you change it.
• mantine-color-scheme-value — Light, dark or system theme. Kept on this device until you change it.
• vordy.reviewOutbox.* — Grades from a review session that have not reached our server yet, one entry per study set. Removed as soon as they are sent.
• vordy.readingTapNotice.seen — Remembers that you have seen the hint about looking words up in a text, so it is not shown again.
• vordy.session.accountDeleted — Set for a moment after you delete your account, so the sign-in screen can confirm the deletion. Removed once shown.
• vordy.quotaNotice.dismissedPeriod.* — Remembers, per account, that you closed the credits notice for the current billing period.
• vordy.signupGrantNotice.seen.* — Remembers, per account, that you have seen the signup credits notice.

App storage (mobile app)

• vordy-language — The interface language, chosen by you or detected automatically. Kept on this device until you change it.
• vordy-theme — Light, dark or system theme. Kept on this device until you change it.
• vordy-translate-pair — The language pair you last used in Look up. Kept on this device until you change it.
• vordy-cards-pair — The language pair you last opened in Saved cards. Kept on this device until you change it.
• vordy.reviewOutbox.* — Grades from a review session that have not reached our server yet, one entry per study set. Removed as soon as they are sent.
• vordy.quotaNotice.dismissedPeriod.* — Remembers, per account, that you closed the credits notice for the current billing period.
• vordy.signupGrantNotice.seen.* — Remembers, per account, that you have seen the signup credits notice.
• vordy_cookie, vordy_session_data — Your sign-in session, kept in the device’s encrypted secure storage. Removed when you sign out.
